This interactive training unit is designed to familiarize trainees with basic concepts associated with selecting and installing residential wiring components. After completing this unit, the trainees should be able to describe how to determine electrical service requirements for a single-family dwelling and how to properly ground electrical systems and equipment. They should also be able to describe various components of branch circuits, proper wiring methods, and typical branch circuit layouts.
